My Philosophy
My
reason for getting into nursing was to make a difference in a
person's life that I've never met before. I have always enjoyed the
satisfaction I get from being there for someone when they may just need
someone to talk to. I've always been drawn to the field of nursing where
caring and compassion are important skills to have and I feel that I
have the compassion and drive to give my patient's the best care that
they are entitled to. I believe nursing to be a caring field and that involves people who put others before themselves.
"We
often think of nursing as giving meds on time, checking an X-ray to see
if the doctor needs to be called, or taking an admission at 2:00 a.m.
with a smile on our faces. Too often, we forget all the other things
that make our job what it truly is—caring and having a desire
to make a difference."
